It can be done, but you need extra hardware to do this, and probably software as well. It is much easier, and less expensive, to install a DVD drive.

And that won't work. Get a DVD drive, if you don't want to go to the trouble of installing one in the computer then get an external one. I will give you an option for both since I do not know your skill level.

Your DVD player can't read data. It's that simple, even if you could by some miracle connect it to your computer for a data transfer (which you can't).

i think u can but if u just want to play a dvd u can out it in the cd drive thing in the tower of the computer

you have to have a dvd drive in your system-- they do not always come with your computer automatically like for cd's--cd's look like dvd's but they are not the same...your computer store can put one in cheap and quick...make a list of other stuff you want as long as you are going there...

Any laptop DVD participant that's no longer bought as bulk comes with participant utility. basically eliminate your CD participant, use a similar connections for a sparkling DVD participant, installation the utility and your occasion is on.
