Yes, and it's a great idea. I have a direct deposit to two different banks. One , I use to pay rent and car payment. The other I pay my smaller bills and weekly shopping I started the 2nd one with an incentive to get $75 bucks for opening it with a direct deposit. Isave everything that't left after the 2 major deductions in the other account. It could really add up for something special or come in handy for emergencies.

Sure, or twenty different banks, if you have enough money. I used to know people who had different banking accounts for different purposes, and they always had them at different banks so they would not get confused when the statements came in.

of course you can you can have checking accounts in everybank in the world... i have 3 checking and 3 savingings... you can also have multipule checking accounts in the same bank>>.
