I don't want to take meds because of the sexual side effects, but I don't have the confidence I used to make the first move. Once I make the move, I'm fine, but I need something to just get me started. Does anyone here carry a little bottle of something for liquid-courage you can use at the moment? How's that working for you?

Try baby steps and visualization. Try doing small things that don't have any direct negative side effects or anykind of rejection, like just having a conversation with someone out of a social scene where there is no expectation of rejection or acceptance. Once you get past the small stuff you will be more apt to continue with the more daring acts.

Have you given any thought to working out in a Gym or taking up jogging. Exercise will take away mild depression as will spending time in the sun. The result is when you feel good your confidence better and sex is better.

Haha... I just think to myself "What the hell? If I'm gonna be rejected, being nervous isn't gonna help me get there any faster!"
