Do you know what the 4th of July MEANS? Why would people in the UK celebrate America's independence from them? They celebrate the Queen's birthday, and we don't. They have what they call "bank holiday"; they celebrate Boxing Day.

My mum does - as it's her birthday! And I celebrate Bastille Day as it's my birthday - ha ha!

We have lots of random bank holidays - two in May and one in August, where we have time off but we're not really celebrating anything!!

no, but if you're american and are visiting your british relatives on july 4th, fireworks are a fun way to wake up your grandmothers neighbors/neighbours!!
they don't really have an independence day, but nov. 5th (guy fawkes' day) is when they build big bonfires and shoot fireworks.
