Why do many people wear black outfits when jogging or cycling on the road at night?

I see people wearing black sportswear when they are jogging or cycling at night w/o regard to their own safety. Similarly, you would have thought that, in the tropics, sportsmen would avoid dark colour jerseys to avoid overheating. But no, apparently looking cool and more important than being cool!

I have no idea. I have a friend who's a paramedic and she's always answering calls like this. She doesn't get it either ^^; In all honesty, it seems rather... obvious that you should wear something brighter, or something shiny, at least.

Recently there w a s a new find to that color thought and it wa s found to be vice versa, so hang on a bit until w e know the truth

Well the color black absorbs heat when light hits it and it will stay inside all day until you take it off :P so like they can stay warm during the cold nights...

Good question. They really should wear something light or reflective. I thought that cyclists were supposed to have reflecters on their bikes.

i dont think of it rather concerns if ur going to exercising in it.. if not i think of u ought to placed on white socks... each time u uncertain placed on white socks.... (me i might placed on any shade yet thats because of the fact i dont care what human beings say approximately my socks)
