read books, watch dvd's, remove all the cushions from the couch and check under it.

besides, standing up to change channels is not bad for you. Really.

You have to code the remote for your tv. There should have been a book that came with the remote. Just cause it's the same brand doesn't mean it has your tv code programmed in it already. If it still won't work get another one. RCA universal remotes work for almost any tv once you put the code in.The only think most universal remotes wont do is get you in the menu of the tv. Good Luck!

suggestion one; are the batteries installed correctly?
suggestion two; Try looking at the packaging the remote came in or perhaps on the back of the REMOTE itself for Programing Codes for Toshiba. TVs, Cr's, Dvd players, Stereos, ect. Choose the codes for the equipment you needed the remote for, enter each one of the codes listed till you find the one that works. The only codes I have are 0149, 0154, 0156, 0036, 0060. hope they help.
sugestion three; Step one ,turn on the unit. Step two, press unit button and release. Step three, press the Setup button till Access light blinks twice. Step five, Enter the first four digit code listed, if you have done all previous steps corectly the access light should blink twice when the last digit is entered. Aim the remote at the unit, press power button the unit should turn off, if not try the codes listed till you find the correct one. Good luck

you need a univeral remote, if thats what you purchase than you need batteries and you need to set the code for your TV Read the instruction that came with the new Remote.

if it does not say univeral remote you need to return it to BB and ask for help. Ask for a UNIVERSAL REMOTE. (that means it will work with any brand TV it does not have to look like the old one)

in the mean while click the remote at your wife and have her get up and change the channels for you - if she really loves you she'll do it.

Could try the regular buttons on the TV, write down your TV's model # and return your remote.

it may say it's for Toshiba but what model number does it cover? make sure it covers your tv's model #.

it's not the end of the world.
go call up Best Buy and tell them your tv's model #..they'll get it right.

in case you lost the distant administration, it signifies that both you carried it on your place of work and left it there or that you knew to operate the controls on your television. If both between the options are incorrect, you're making a well being care service richer through 1 extra consultation value.

Throw out the TV, and buy or rent books. You will never have that problem, again.
