Books don't belong in a museum...they belong in libraries where people can read 'em. Now, if you're talking about rare editions of certain books, sure. Try the Library of Congress, the British Museum, or the special collections of any number of universities around the world.

If you want to see a museum for books, then you want to visit the Library of Congress. Regarding famous authors, most famous authors have a museum somewhere devoted to them, it may be small, but it is still a museum.

Not really. However your thinking of "Collections" Most Universities and Colleges try to be FAMOUS for this collection or that collection, such as a collection on 1st editions or on Whales, or Botany, or Chemistry, etc. That's why major authors and scientific writers make journeys to these universities to 'borrow' or browse through their collections during their research on certain books, because some can't be found anywhere else. Great question by the way.
