1,024 Byte = 1 Kilobyte (KB)
1,024 Kilobyte (KB) = 1 Megabyte (MB)
1,073,741,824 Bytes = 1 Gigabyte (GB)
1 Gigabyte (GB) = 1,024 Megabyte (MB)

A BYTE = 8 BITS

A KILOBYTE = 1024 BYTES

A MEGABYTE = 1,048,576 BYTES

A GIGABYTE = 1,073,741,824 BYTES

So 1GB=1,024MB

Here Is How To Convert File Measurements Without A Calculator
Each unit changes names when you get to 1000 of that unit. The basic unit is a byte. If you have 1000 bytes, you can then call it 1 kilobyte. If you have 1000 kilobytes, you can then call it 1 megabyte. The same happens when you go up from megabytes to gigabytes.

so in that case

1GB=1,000MB=1,000,000KB=
1,000,000,000 BYTES

First, its megabytes and gigabytes. There are two ways to calculate this.

8 bits = 1 byte
1024 bytes = 1 kilobyte (KB)
1024KB = 1 megabyte (MB)
1024MB = 1 gigabyte (GB)
1024GB = 1 terabyte (TB)

Do not get GB mixed up with Gb. The lowercase indicates bits, the uppercase indicates bytes. When talking internet bandwidth, it is measured in Kb (kilobits, or 1000 bits) or Mb (megabits, or 1000 bits). If you have a 56Kb connection (sorry if you do) then you get a max of 7KB download. A 3Mb broadband connection (I LOVE YOU CHARTER!) is 375KB max.

1,024 when calculating in binary and 1,000 when calculating in decimal.

(One kilobyte is 2 to the tenth power; one megabyte is 2 to the twentieth power; one gigabyte is two to the thirtieth power.)

If you multiply one kilobyte, or 1,024 bytes by another kilobyte, or 1,024, you get the number of bytes in a megabyte, namely 1,048,576. If you multiply the number of bytes in a megabyte, in turn, by 1,024 you get the number of bytes in a gigabyte.

I think 1,024 is the most commonly accepted answer, and that binary is the most commonly used mathematical system for calculating kilobytes, megabytes and gigabytes.
