Limited amounts of items for personal use, including cigarettes may be brought in duty free by persons over 18 in most provinces but 19 in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Ontario and British Columbia. With alcoholic beverages, persons must be 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Québec but 19 in other provinces.
Note: one other site I checked out stated that you have to be 21 to bring in liquer so I would suggest phoning the border crossing to check before you leave if you are under 21. Cheers.

Last time I checked, it was 24 cans per person. You can buy American beer in Canada, but you might like the Canadian beer (although it's stronger). There are a number of micro breweries, like the Granville Island Brewery in Vancouver, that make some really special brews!

actual - i replaced into born in Germany and grew up contained in the US and Canada, or maybe although I keep listening to thoughts about human beings like you describe and their thoughts of the international, I actual have under no circumstances, ever met any like it. the position do they conceal? you should have run into some truly uncommon breed of finished fool, please forgive my outspoken-ness. on the different hand, might want to or not it really is that he replaced into having you on? I advise, at the same time as i replaced into Canadian, I sometimes informed really hopeless human beings I met contained in the US for exciting that Canada is an section the position human beings lived in Igloos and ate seals, and they believed it. perhaps your American pal idea you've been somewhat hopeless (sorry, it really is merely atheory...? yet misunderstandings can ensue - on the different hand, your English is so solid I doubt he would have considered you as straightforward, so... likely only a case of undesirable acquaintance).

Why would you want to?
Canadians don't like American beer, it's less potent.
Most Americans prefer Canadian beer too (over american).

24 is the limit.. (per person, must be legal drinking age 18-19 depending no province)
but don't sweat - if you can't deal with our domestic brews - The mainstream American favourites are available here, Bud, CoorsLite, MGD.. even Schlitz Malt and Colt 45....
