can anyone advise where i can obtain a metal lever arm winder assembly for an old steel casement window known as km steel windows as i believe the manufacturer to be no longer in buisiness.
i are in melbourne australia

Identification can be a problem, but it sounds like you have a leg up since you have the name of the manufacturer. These window parts seem to cross international borders easily. In the most extreme circumstances, a digital photo of the broken part next to a ruler is usually enough for Pickens to match the part. Of course this can be done on the web. There should be parts available if many of the homes in your area have these. In Florida USA, many hardware stores carry replacement units. Lots of "awning" windows there with louvered sections. And hey, I was in Australia in 1967 and thought it was a really cool place.
