There really is nothing to be THAT stressed about...if I could just relax and get some proper rest, I think that would be a start. People are starting to think I am nuts...I have tried to help myself by taking up new interests, but everything is falling through right now depsite my best efforts. This is getting really isolating...

hey there, I was suffering from a similar problem a few months ago and I found that taking walks by myself was very comforting. It let me think and sort out my problems, and the fresh air was very relaxing. Best of luck.

why are you stressed? work? kids? not being happy where you are in life? parental illness? adding new interests to an already stressed life will not help you. maybe you could SUBSTITUTE these new restful things for the things you have put up with and can't take anymore. Can you take time off away? Even a day of playing tourist in your own city can give you a fresh perspective on things and may help you make decisions to let go of some of these things that may just be there because they have always been there. maybe you are outgrowing them. This include mindset not just tangible items around you or people you deal with.

Sounds like you feel like you are on a 'ferris wheel'. Been there, done that. Try and de-stress by cutting back on your commitments. Sometimes we stretch ourselves too thin and we are overwhelmed. Your body is in overdrive and you need some downtime. If yoga, walk on the beach or a bath won't work, then maybe you need something from the dr to help your body relax. Once you are in 'overdrive' you have to train your body to slow down again. Sometimes meds are needed. Why suffer?

an hour before you want to go to sleep, try some relaxation music and play it in the room you sleep in. you can find this type of music in any music store. this will probably not work right away but within a few day you should be sleeping better. you also need to seek professional help in dealing with these issues. best of luck

forget the news it's almost all bad news and nerve racking. try to find something you like to do. if it's reading then read a nice book. you could paint or draw. some people like to play video games. just find something you like to do and use it as an escape. you alone time to focus only on yourself. but the way you stated this question you sound like you have some anxiety issues. i would think about seeing a doctor or a phyc. but till you can see one just try to find some outlet that you find relaxing.

take care and happy 4th of July.

The first item on the list to solve your problem is to find out exactly why? There has to be a reason. If there is none, then the people are right. There are group therapy sessions.

Lock for self in a pin drop silent room for 30 mins right now, sit comfortably, close your eyes and pay attention to your breathing and try and forget your thoughts for a moment. If your thoughts come back to you, acknowledge it and turn your attention back to your breathing.

I'm so sorry for you but I do understand. Try to talk to someone that you trust and get it all out. That is the best thing for you to do. Take care.
