I don't really understand the question.

The U.S. government actively monitors the Internet, but not necessarily in a "privacy invasion" sort of way. They'll monitor various public venues for leads on any number of things (terrorism, unsolved crimes, etc.). If you are a suspect in a criminal case, or are a suspected terrorist, then they might "wiretap" your connection to monitor your activities.

As an average citizen, though, you likely have nothing to worry about with the government. Criminals, on the other hand, might be cause for concern.

Yes of course they do. They have to to protect children from wierdos, prevent identity theft, keep pornography away from children and to assure that we are as safe on the net as we are in our homes.

It's not always a BAD thing, most of what they do is good. The government has their own domain (not internet) . FBI/CIA may have their own private communication portals but thats expected.

Big brother does watch you but it's not always a bad thing. I had identity theft and they found the person using my identity. So you have to understand, any form of communication is monitored. Your cell phone, home phone, computer blogs.......

If you aren't doing anything bad, it shouldn't worry you at all!

Keep on being "good" !! hehe
