if you took life science not biology could you still get in to a good college

As long as life science fills the science requirement that you need to get into the college of your choice--check with the college itself just to be sure, but I think you'll be fine. Colleges have non-major biology courses that you'll be able to take if you need to once you get there.

oh give me a large personal break. a 'good' college will take you if you impress them in some way, no matter what courses you've taken (or, even what grades you have). Think of Elle's admissions video to Harvard.

You can certainly. You really should consider shining yourself up at a JC. It cheaper, people are pretty cool and you can tune your grades and BIO/CHEM up a bit there for a 4 year school transfer!
