Ok....a lot of you are misinterpreting my question. I just wanted to know which of her personalities you liked best out of Mary and Brook Lynn? I already know what kind of person she is, I wasn't asking for biographies.....

Mary J. Blige transcends her musical genre. She is a genuine original, who would be a star in jazz, rock, pop, even country, if she chose. She is of the hip-hop generation, but her soul and style are timeless.
I have a friend who was a drummer at the Divas concert a few years back. There were all kinds of major female singers there. He said that Mary J. was the most gracious, the easiest to work with--and the she actually reminded him of jazz legend Sarah Vaughn. He seemed stunned that she was so extraordinary!
Her greatness might even be obscured by her hip-hop style. People don't give her the credit she deserves. I am a middle-aged woman, and Mary J. is the real thing, and she will last.

Mary... My parents are saying Mary is trying into a fool like Shawnna, Missy Elliot, Lil Kim.. They said before she was a cool sista.. But now she is turning to the rest of 'em.. But in my opinion, Mary J. Blige!

i love Mary J Blige! As a vocalist she has a tendency to yell which can get on some people's nerves but Iove the Passion and fire that she puts into her songs. Even the new Happy Mary sings with her soul!

Mary J. Blige is an amazing artist who has overcome a great deal of diversity to carry her message of hope to the world.
My personal favorite song by her was when she did the duet w/Bono of U2 to "One."
