and STILL not be considered an imminent threat by the US? Is it because North Korea lacks oil reserves and because Bush just sat there and did NOTHING whilte North Korea blatantly kept inspectors while they work on their nulclear weapons program? Is Bush soft on terror after all? Is his psycho, haphazard policies towards other nations finally backfiring?

Brainwashed Bush supporters keep mouthing the media-inculcated assurance that attacking Iraq was right because we needed to get rid of a brutal dictator, yet there are WORSE dictators around like Kim Jong Ill with WMDs that we CAN find--yet that doesn't bother Bush supporters because it's not on their radar. Do these people EVER think for themselves to see the hypocrisy???

Yes, they were "testing." Testing on the 4th of July in our general direction towards Hawaii/California. And what about getting a brutal dictator and who undeniably has WMDs? Who starves, imprisions, and tortures his people, worse than Saddam has ever done? Why do brain-dead supporters support attacking a nation that was LESS of a threat, but are all of a sudden peace-loving pacifists when it comes to North Korea?

North Korea has a Million man army heavily armed, and they would wipe out South Korea instantly. America has 30,000 troops in South Korea, what they are testing are trash missiles anyway, they are scud missiles with no guidance systems, they are junk. This all Republican scare hipe just what we are all used too you know. Japan can deal with Korea on their own. If America got to far on North Korea (Communists), Communist China just might side up with them since they are all Asian you know. Bushy is blowing smoke screens just like they did about the illegal immigration issue they have shelved and forgotten.

The difference is the ability between Iraq and North Korea. The intelligence reports stated that Iraq had WMD...now whether this is true or not still remains to be seen...but N. Korea has less resources, and as far as our government is concerned..no not just the Bush administration, but other top officials, they do not have intercontinental ballistic missles...basically, they can't reach us yet. Both N. Korea and Iran need to be kept a close watch on..today's show by Kim Jong was meant to get our attention, I am sure...and I think he has had it for a while now.

Because North Korea isnt on the OIL agenda! It is our biggest threat today and here we are with all our resources in Iraq. I dont care about oil, I care about protecting the homeland from real enemies not invented ones to scare people into doing what the bush adm wants... Has anyone seen the British ladys journalists interview with the No Korean leader... Please do it is very enlightening. Who is worse their big bad guy or ours? That would be Cheney, I pick No Korea cause Cheney maybe greedy but that man is even more scary, insane and bloodthirsty.

1. We still have our troops in the DMZ that we need to protect.

2. Last time I knew, President Bush was trying to work through your beloved UN to come to some safe conclusion for the N. Korean problem.

3. What would you have him do? As soon as he tried to stop N. Korea, you anti-Bushites would start complaining about how he's trying to take over the world, or after the newly found oil reserves, or has a vendeta against North Koreans. President Bush will never be able to do anything right in your mind.

Because President Dumbass was so hellbent on his revenge (he said and I quote: "he tried to kill my daddy") against Sadaam Hussein that he neglected all of his duties as president (look at Social Security, the economy, healthcare, etc.). He also wanted all of their oil supplies. Forget all of his talk about "spreading democracy", what he really wants are the resources of the countries he targets. He used 9-11 as an excuse to attack Iraq (a country we heard nothing from since the Gulf War). North Korea was a much bigger threat, but there was no profit in it for him. George W. Bush is a greedy, incredibly obtuse, ineffectual man. Sucks to be us, right?

one admits to having WMD... one "may" have them...

one has a dictator that killed approx. 300,000... one has a dictator that is credited with well over 1,000,000...

one is much closer to the continental U.S.... one is quite a bit farther away...

one has large oil reserves... one does not....

one shares a border with a country that the U.S. elite are making millions off of (China)... one shares a border with a country that is talking about switching to euros (Iran)...

seems pretty simple witch one is the larger threat...N. Korea... but it also seems evident which is the best "business wise" to attack

the thing is... Bush didn't think the public was stupid enough to buy that terrorists are in N. Korea... but he thought that they would buy Iraq... after all they are arabs and all arabs are terrorists... right?...

it's amazing what the citizens of the U.S. will buy...

Go figure. There are many groups of people with various agenda's that had wanted to go to war with Afghanistan and Iraq way back in the early 80's. Many reason's. The oil profiteers, the ones who want to eradicate most Arab's, etc. Do research and you will understand what I mean.

That is a very good point. I'm thinking because we are so deep in a hole with Iraq that we're pushing for that issue still even though the evidence of N.K. threat is right in front of our face. Sometimes, people just can't turn around if they have invested a lot of energy at one thing.

They were not fired at us, calm down. The US test missles all the time, firing them out over the Pacific and you don't hear N Korea or China getting their panties in a bunch. Don't blow this out of proportion. And by the way I am not in any way, shape, or form a GW supporter. The man is an idiot and the sooner he is gone the better.

I could be wrong but I think we treat North Korea more gingerly because there is a remote chance that they could and would hit another country with a nuclear missile if provoked. We can bully and strike countries that are definitely weaker than us but we tend to negotiate and use diplomacy with countries that have nuclear capability.
