Ben Wallace is a great addition to the Chicago Bulls. Most people seem to focus on the cost of the deal and it's worth, but Chicago has the available budget, so why not use it?
Ben's veteran skills and defensive abilities fit in well with a rebuilt Chicago Bulls team. The Bulls have always lacked a strong center to count on. And now, they have the defensive NBA player of the year. The Bulls used to get beat up by other teams in the post, but now they have Ben Wallace. Having a reliable guy under the basket allows the Bulls to rely less on their guards for both points and defense.
I think Ben's performance will be similar if not better next season. He is a respected player by the Bulls and throughout the league, and Scott Skiles welcomes his leadership and opinions. But only time will tell if his new stint with the Bulls live up to his Piston years.

See, I've been reading responses and questions to Ben Wallace's leaving Detroit and coming to Chicago, and they all make me laugh unless they know what they are talking about. Ben Wallace's presence in Chicago will not impact until about 20 games in, and after that, their defense will be unstopable. They have a young backcourt who move their legs in a hurry and a man who takes up the whole paint and is stronger then shack will make an impact. I think the Bulls will be one of the best teams if not the best in the East and will be in the Finals with Dallas next year. And I'm right.

Big Ben is probably going to better as a Bull because the Pistons didn't give him the ball enough, so he'll be the leaderon a young team.

he was part of a puzzle in detroit he knew his role. chicago has no offense all they need to do is spend 15 mill a year on another good defender instead of the baby bulls we will call them the baby knicks by the way is isiah making the calls in chicago too there is a reason why detroit didnt offer him more he is aging, undersized for a center 6'8" and has no skills to make his own shot.

Ben got the shaft for a rookie when it came to the money.
He is gonna get 60 mil for going to the Bulls and I am happy for him.
The coaching staff didn't want defense that used to win them the playoffs. They want a offense which is not winning.
They offered a rookie 12 mil and one year more than he was getting so I don't blame him one bit.
I wish him well and Chicago is gonna rock now with him under the boards.

No Way! Big Ben had so many weapons in Detroit that helped him get by with his horrific offence. The guy couldnt hit a free throw to save his mothers life. Not to mention that his blocks per game had declined each of the past 4 years, and his rebounds per game has declined in each of the past three, Not worth 60 million!

Yeah, because he'll no longer have to deal with a coach like flip saunders. And darko and okur were better after leaving the pistons.

Rodman part 2. They will improve, but win it all? Maybe they make it to the second round a couple of times with him, but not much else.

He is pretty much a one dimensional player. He will be a great defensive player for them, but he has played for his last championship in Detroit.
