I started getting migraines very badly in my late 30s, and were convinced they were hormone related. They lasted up to three days and were intolerable. Nothing OTC worked. I tried prescription Imitrex and it did not work very well, so my dr. switched me to Maxalt and it worked like a charm. This med is a lifesaver, as my headches were so bad I wanted to put my head through a wall!

I definitely got more headaches the older I got (thank you, stress). But if you're having such severe ones, you really need to see a doctor. It could be anything from migraines to an aneurysm. One kills, one doesn't. Get to a doctor.

Yep...I never got headaches in my 20's. Now if I get one, and it's not gone within an hour, the only thing that's gonna work is for me to puke!
