Finally realizing that I'm not that much different from everyone else, even though I was abused, neglected etc. Life is what we make it.
I'm a pretty good person because of the good and the bad that I've gone through. It all made me who I am today. I'm proud that I didn't continue patterns that my parents had, and made my own mind up what good and bad is.

My outlook on life changed when I was only 12. After numerous bad things have happened to me, I decided to end my life. I went to the lake in the middle of the night. There was a long bridge of stones that lead out into the water. I walked all the way to the end, held a gun to my head, & pulled the trigger. At the same moment I pulled the trigger, my best friend (which I didn't know followed me. I guess the waves were loud enough to cover his footsteps) was behind me & pulled the gun away just in time. The bullet wizzed past my head. As my ears were still ringing, I turned around & started to yell & hit him. He got his arms around me (holding my arms down from hitting him) & cried. I NEVER seen him cry before (even since then! He is one of those "manly man"). Even tho he never said a word, he changed my views about life. That was over 10 years ago, but I can still remember it as it was yesterday.

What incident in my life changed my life, I would have to say Dec.23, 2003 having sepsis, being minutes away from death. The dr.s told my parents if I had gotten to the E.R. minutes later I would have been dead, for 5 days I lay in a coma they would not tell my parents if I was gonna live or not, they didn't know. In fact, they are Happily surprised that I did survive. That was THE changing point in my life.

Joy Luck Club made me realize that I was racist. I always assumed that most Asian women didn't speak English and still had a culture where the women were subservient to their men. Where I got that idea, I don't know. Probably movies and television. And I should know better because neither one portrays positive truths about black women. I watched that movie and saw normal everyday women with similar problems and was ashamed of myself. I made it a point to speak to everyone whether I thought they spoke English or not and surprised myself. Today, one of my closest friends is from Korea and when I told her this she told me I had been f****** stupid, and she gets that attitude all the time.

In all honesty, this is kinda religious, but I saw people blindly following some invisible man living in the clouds and though "Are these people retarded?!"

I couldn't take it. That changed my life at the age of 15. I changed religion and based my values off of what I thought was right or wrong, not what someone told me was.

probable have a evaluate someone's concepts that won't be able to differentiate actual from fiction. i've got faith undesirable issues ensue to reliable human beings, each and all of the time. a thank you to end that's barely way too infringe-psychological on the lives of a unfastened human beings. i think of the main nicely-known concern isn't recognizing people who have those evil dispositions. I mean if a youthful guy likes to kill harmless pets or animals. there is something incorrect, and counseling or such desires to be completed. Even toddlers with criminal acts or dispositions are taken care of as though they're going to strengthen out of it, or something. Outright loopy dispositions are skipped over, no person desires to take the accountability to help or discover out if there is a thank you to help, the guy, or in the event that they could desire to be in a house or scientific institution. most of the extremely undesirable episodes have been completed via human beings who have been standard to have some social subjects. In each and each case, no longer something replaced into ever completed. Even Geoffry Dommer replaced into standard to kill and dismember animals till now he began doing that to human beings. a youthful guy replaced into taken back to Dommer, ultimately to be killed, via the POLICE!
