I've seen Jackson Browne five times. Each better than the time before.

I've seen U2 three times. Once from the fourth row! Excellent.

Sarah McLachlan five times. Once from the mosh pit at the Boulder Theater in Boulder, CO.

The Chieftains five times (once with Sarah McLachlan)

Willie Nelson two times. Once at the Hearnes Center in Columbia, Missouri and once at the Missouri State Prison. Okay, I wasn't an inmate. Willie played the yard. I sat outside the walls and listened. He gave the offenders as good of a show as any paying audience!

Sinead O'Connor at the Lillith Fair several years ago. She was great, too.

Neil Young can really rock with the best of them.

I saw Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band from the top row of Kemper Arena in Kansas City. He was a speck on the stage below but gave it his all.

Any of these can be on that list.

The worst show I ever saw was The Rolling Stones. They simply went thru the motions and could not have cared any less that I paid $50 a ticket. They got my money and all I got was a wasted night out.

I've seen over 150 concerts. With that many, I've had to break it down into the following:
Best overall concert: Yes Union Tour, Springfield, IL.
Best show: Pink Floyd at Soldier Field in Chicago, IL.
Best guitar performance: Jeff Beck & Stevie Ray Vaughn, Chicago, IL.
Best showman, Alice Cooper, Peoria, IL.
Weirdist gig: Aerosmith fist fights each other and ends up in famous rehab, Springfield, IL.

1992 Lollapalooza in Irvine, CA.

It was the last show on the tour. I also saw the 1st show in Mountain View, CA that year, which was very mellow in comparison. By the end of the tour, you could see how much fun the bands were having.

The most unforgettable moment was during Ministry's set when people in the audience started bon fires in trash cans & began dancing around them like it was some tribal ritual.

Thanksgiving Day 1974. Elton John at Madison Square Garden NYC. Brings out a special guest, John Lennon. The place went nuts.

Its a toss up. I saw Nickelback in Melbourne about a month ago. They rocked.

In 1993 i saw Guns n Roses, Rose Tattoo, Pearls and Swine in the 1 concert. That was pretty good.

I went to a festival years ago where there were lots of bands - The Wallflowers, Tonic, Soul Asylum, Semisonic - - many others. I was franticly searching for a bathroom at one point and accidentally wandered behind the stage area and literally ran into the lead singer of Semisonic. I looked up at him and said "Hey you're Semisonic" and he laughed at me.
