If they are reliving an offence against themself, he/she is a person who has not learned to forgive and let go. Otherwise the are old and only have the past and their memories to share with others, such as my 92 year old grandmother.

Regretful..... Can be either positively or negatively or both in some ways.

Pos. The person may have LOVED his or her past and regrets that's its now gone and just a memory. Animosity about living in the now and probably very little if any views of future.

Neg. The person may have despised his or her past, wishing many things could be done over again and depressed about not being able to change things, again.... it being allowed to effect the now and the future.

Both.... The person may be mixing those two things and as a whole is currently being torn apart emotionally etc.... Depending on the degree to which its happening, isn't living in nor appreciating the NOW and enjoying what life is and has to offer, making few if any plans for the future.

In such cases the person needs to be aware of all the positive things NOW, with a hope for future. Remember the good aspects of past and learn from the rest while moving forward!

This is simply a person who can't let go. Many people have a tough time letting go of the past because they feel they could have done something different. They are lacking the understanding that the past is the past and searching for the lesson should be the primary focus which would lead to the reward. Thats the only thing the past is good for. Nothing more. There is too much hype in the past. Its funny how much attention the past gets especially sense its not around anymore!!! More attention should be made towards the present and the future. The present because were in it and the future because hopefully were moving towards it.

Possibly a bad attitude or an unhappy one, would resemble a person who is living in the past. They have nothing enjoyable to look forward to.. and the life they are in doesn't seem to make them happy.. so the only thing that is left is to look back. Unfortunately many elderly people do this.

not a good attitude that means that the person enjoys living in the past, that she/he is not concentrate on the future. While this person is using all the Emery to live in the past, this person is wasting time in the past and not looking towards the future. by the time she/he decide to move to the future her/his live will be all gone and she/he wasted a wonder opportunity to do nice things for her/his and the family, and friends.
