Any well trained saddle horse will be good for trail riding. I would go to a western waddle though, Skip out on those stupid english saddles.

I'm not sure what you mean by sattels.
But the best horse for trails isn't a breed. It's a type. Can be any breed - a 3S horse. Sane Sound Safe. English depends on hunter or saddle seat - hunters can be apps, paints, TBX, QH; saddle seat - Arabs, Saddlebreds, Morgans. There's also gaited horses - Walkers, foxtrotters, pasos. The right horse from any of these breeds could trail ride.

Any breed can be great at trail riding.
I ride an ex race horse. A thoroughbred and we ride trails all the time.
I have ridden many breeds on trails it is less about breed and more about the training and adaptability of the horse.
As for English sattles do you means saddles?
Once again any breed of horse can wear and English saddle that is only a type or style of saddle notthing more.

The breed is not as important as they horse's temperament and training. Breed is a personal like/dislike - an Arabian can be as good a trail horse as a Quarter Horse, Morgan or Paint. And the type of saddle is what YOU prefer - not which breed it fits. A saddle, regardlesof thetype, can fit an assortment of breeds.

I wouldn't really say there is a best breed for trail riding. the best type of horse would be any horse that doesn't spook easily. any type of horse can use an english saddle. they make them in all sizes.

well it depends on what english diciplines you are interested in... i'd say go to dreamhorse.com and look for horses that are ridden in the diciplines you enjoy or want to participate in. then whichever breed seems to your fancy, research it.. see what else they are good at... horses with smart minds are normally good for things like english riding, and dressage. also for trail riding. a good leve head s a good thing as well. so dont pick a breed that is too hot (energetic, too much energy can cause major issues. disobedience. and alotof other problems can arrise from a horse with too much energy and nothing to do with it....)
