First off, ARE you a 12 year old girl? Call it typecasting, but if youre a 47 year old man with a beer gut, this advice will most likely be worthless.
Now, assuming you are a 12 yo girl, start competing in beauty pageants. Get your face out there. Another route would be to join community theater in your town and get familiar there. Attend open casting calls when they make movies in your town. Mercilessly hound talent agents and parents alike to get them to recognize your talent. Drive aint enough, if you cant read a script, youre doomed.

You have to look for announcements for auditions. Depends on where you live. There may not be any near you. My old fencing instructor goes to NYC all the time and he's been an extra in a few movies.

anywheres that you can be noticed. school plays church plays. have someone tape you acting and put it on the internet. its not where you go its how hard you are willing to try to be noticed in a good way
