I just got over the same problem; I discovered that the best deodorant for me to use was any one made by Avon; a co-worker had good results with Avon deodorant too; try it! Oh, by the way, the dark spots have to fade away on their own.

try switching everything to unscented, sensitive skin formulas. including deodorant, washing powder and shaving cream. you may have to hold off on shaving for a bit until the rash clears up cuz that will just re-inflame the area. benadryl cream is great for allergic reactions too.

I tried a roll on deodorant once and brok out into a rash. Try getting off whatever you are using for a few days and see what happens.

Try to use alcohol to clean your armpits one or 2 times a day. If you don't like the smell or you worry it might burn, then mix it with small amount of water on a cotton before cleaning the area. And this way, can also help you to stop bad smell from your armpits. It work pretty good, my boy-friend had the same problem before, but now is got. Trust me is not the soap you use, is the wrong deodorant. You should change to a different one, don't get no brand one any more. Try Dove, they are pretty good.

first, i'd think about changing my deoderant. after about a week, if the rash hasn't cleared up i'd start using some sort of moisturizing lotion.
