That seems contradictory. How can you be nationally "recognized" and not that famous?

If you are nationally recognized, you must have been recognized in some way, such as magazine articles, certificates, name appearing in programs, etc.

How were you "recognized?" You could ask the person or group who recognized you to write a letter describing your contributions and accomplishments.

If you want the college to know you are an accomplished dancer, the college you mention must be in the field of arts or dance. wouldn't they recognized a nationally recognized person?

You are personally aware of your national recognition. There must be a reason that you can articulate to someone else that supports your claim. If other well respected and nationally known people have given you these compliments, etc, and if it was meant in earnest, the perhaps one or more can write a letter in your behalf that addresses their feelings of your qualifcations. You're going to need another 'voice' to sell you as a serious product in your field. The best voice is from another nationally recognized authority. Good luck.
