I think what you had was mennoraghia, where you release heavy flow too much for too long.
You probably also have hormonal imbalances which would account for your lack of energy.
Have a doctor run blood work for your hormones, and I think you'll be heading in the right direction.
See a qualified Alternative practitioner in your area. Look them up in Google. They will also recommend supplements to take for your energy.
Blessings,
Cheryl

You are getting alot of scary messges in here. There really is nothing that warrants removal of organs. Don't go to the emergency room, they won't test for anything that would account for loss of energy. Seek an alternative health doctor. I think you will be pleased with the results.

Wizard, what's there to be "thankful" about bloating, cramps, nausea, headaches, worries about leaking and staining your clothes, and having to sometimes make alternative plans like not going into the water at the beach because you're afraid a shark might be able to smell the blood and attack you? Maybe if you were a woman, you would be better able to understand that this is nothing to be thankful for. I almost envy the women in the past. That was because they very seldom had periods due to constantly being pregnant or nursing. They also started having them later in life than girls do today. I can't wait until menopause comes. I'm hoping it will be here within a few years. I'm now in my late 40s and many women my age have already been through it.

A little known fact - doctors are useless, lazy and generally very ignorant when it comes to women's health - the pill is often prescribed for menstrual problems when it is totally uncalled for.
It may be a general issue with hormonal balance, or any number of things, without further information I couldn't tell you, and to be honest a good gyno should be able to help - then again please be aware many gyno's are also pretty ignorant and lazy, so it is best you get yourself online and read up on such problems for yourself.

If you are no longer on any type of birth control it is a drop in hormones that your body is used to receiving. Get the depo provera shot and you will probably have no period problems or a period at all for that matter.

Follow up with the gyn for sure. It sounds like you could have endometriosis...which often looks like dysfunctional uterine bleeding.

Hey Girl..you sound like me!! Don't fret! It's a nuisance, but your pills are just too weak for you. I've been using Alesse (I'm in Ontario; dunno if it matters), and things are going well now. You and your doctor just need to find the right mix for your body! ;-)
