i heard that there are companies that do this and a t1 which may be to expensive. other than processor what can i do to compute?

If you are on dial up then 56k is max, 9600 baud is all the phone line can handle and faster seeds are acquired through compression (up to 56k) the other thing that is don is for the ISP to pre-gather websites and compress the data so it seems faster however you are still only going as fast as the line will allow. and the appearance of more speed is limited to what the ISP has compressed. . .

Dial up uses a 56K modem and the federal law has a limit of something less than 56K. That is as fast as you can get with dial up.
