not that i am incapable of loving, but i realize that i loved more fiercely and freely when i was younger. and after being burned many times, it is sooo difficult for me to conjure romantic feelings up for anyone. it's like i have a wall and even though i'd like to break it down, i just can't. instead of love, i get a sick/disgusted feeling in my stomach sometimes-and i know it's me and not the other person.
how do you fall in love again with a young heart?

You have built an invisible wall because your trust has been broken along with your heart and it's very difficult to break. I have been in your shoes too and I do know how you feel. Somehow you have to find that little girl joy for life in your heart once more and learn to let go of those negative feelings that are holding you back. It took me a long time but I got through it and I'm able to love again. Just find a nice guy with good moral principles and values and hopefully you will at last find true love in your life.

I feel kind of like you. I believe people think I am a lesbian. But have you been with a guy recently and when/if he tries to kiss you at an inappropriate moment, you are like revolted? I told a guy I knew who did that to me that I was a lesbian so he would leave me alone. It worked.
For me, I know I will be all right once I find the right guy. I just haven't yet, and I'm okay with it. I know I don't want to end my life alone, but I am patient. I offer you the same advice. Be patient. You'll be fine, because you want to be!

I too have been burned many times.
It takes time to heal those wounds and move on and learn to love again with trust.
I'm working on the same problem.

I guess it will take time to rebuild the passion you once had. I mean im 35 now and divorced, but im working on getting it "right" again, and I know I will...just may take a little bit more time.

You need to learn how to relax,find yourself again and love yourself before you can love others.Take your time,enjoy life and friends and family.In time you will feel the same again.good luck..
