because there's too much that could happen, even Spin The Bottle can turn into something else... i'm 14 and i think that it's better just to not do that kind of thing, i mean you could hang out with 2 girls and 2 guys and then the guys could leave at night...

Its the age thing.
Parents think kids are too young to have coed sleep overs at that age.
I had my first coed sleep over when I was 13 [which was amazing because my boyfriend was there and my parents are crazy strict]. Its not as risky as parents make it out to be. All we did was stay up all night, make pizza and play video/board games and then passed out in the living room.
But now since I'm 16 I come and go as I please with coed sleep overs. In fact, I've got one thursday night to attend lol.

because they now teach sex ed at age 10? If the kids are, say, 4 or 5 and they have never learned anything regarding sex it may be different. The 12 year olds may try to experiment. You never know.

it's just not appropriate, besides what can you do differently at a sleepover that you cant do at some other get-together, or him/her coming over during the day/evening?
the only thing i can really think of is, you know.

whats the deal with having the guys there? Do you want to experiment something or the other? Thats why you are too young...to be experimenting without supervision by a responsible adult.

Ask your parents. I'm 18 now, but there was never a time when my mom said "no boys." She trusts my judgement and knows I wouldn't do anything stupid. Maybe you should find out exactly what worries your parents.

you're to that age where attraction between the sexes begins. it's not really appropriate for people that age to be in a situation where you could explore those feelings, you aren't yet mature enough, even if you think you are

well i know how you feel but you are young. that's what everyone says. boys have a different mind then girls if you know what i mean. i don't think any other parents will agree on that either.
