All onboard USB ports report as self powered, and the 500 mA means there is a total of 500 Mili ampere available for each port. Don't know what the H is for.

If you look under Universal bus serial controllers in Device manager and you can see a Standard Enhanced PCI to USB controller or USB Enhanced Host Controller( or something similar with the word enhanced in) then it's USB 2.0.

If you are using XP, the other option is to get some form of USB 2.0 device like a flash drive and plug it into the ports. If a balloon comes up saying "This device can perform faster or something similar" then your ports are not 2.0 but 1.0 or 1.1. Judging by the boards age it's most likely not 2.0.

If it's not 2.0 you can but a PCI to USB 2 card. Should be more than US$25 (it goes for ZAR120-140 here in RSA).

The manual is a big download so maybe you can go download it and see if it says anything. If it just says USB ports then its likely 1.0.
