Try going into a neighborhood which has a "record" shop still around. There are several here in Houston. Or look it up in the phone book of hard to find music, etc.
Or try going online looking up some of the older artists you are looking for. Old skool is different for the audience that is looking for the music. Old skool to me is Rick James and my mom's music Al Green, but to you it may be Bobby Brown or even Tevin Campbell or Usher. So you should search the artist you are looking for. Go from there. I hope this helps.

Used music stores are great place to start. When it comes to online music services, I love the selection at the new Napster. I am generally dissatisfied with contemporary music. Napster gives me a selection ol' skool that would take years to get through.

Look up 'old school' under a search engine. It should bring up lots of choices. I have done that.
