Nina, I have been diagnosed clinically depressed before and given courses of antidepressants. I have felt suicidal at times too. BUT, I know that I am so very lucky and have every thing to live for, I live in the UK and so need not worry about famine, drought (?), war {excepting stupid government decisions} and I have a home, clothes and an income. So why do I get depressed. Seems its all down to an inbalance of chemicals in the brain. Honestly, you can learn to cope with that if your remember that is whats is a happening and look on the bright side, count your blessings as they say.
Also, Learn a new joke every day.

Trying to fetch answers from depressed people will only depress you more, unless that is want u want.

Don't want to lecture you, but just realize that depression is your state of mind. If you asked someone: How would you feel if you had a million dollars? They would answer by saying that they would feel happy and secure.

Now what if you were already happy and secure, would you still want that million dollars?

External stimuli can and should never depress you. Its how you choose to take your current situation and turn it into something depressing.

Its ridiculous for someone to say "You hurt my feelings". Because you did not hand your feelings over to someone so they could hurt it for you. On the other hand you take what some one says and use it to hurt your own feelings.

Get the point.

It's best to look on the good side of everything. Don't expect too much out of life or people so you don't have to look on the bright side! Sounds dumb but it works for me.
Lifes just depressing at times.... Just have to go with the flow and get thur it the best ya can.
☺

I try every day. Life can get really hard, but you just have to realize that things will get better - you just have to make them better. Try your very hardest. If you want, make a list of all the positive things you can think of in your life.

That's about all you can do to try to make it from one day to the next -- be thankful for the small things, and hope that one day the good things will get better.
