This is because I've heard a beautiful song from "Cranberries" specifically the song "LInger" and when Dolores O' Riordan finishes a verse she starts like singing but not saying anything.

It's usually just an improvised fill that the singer will add to make the open space between verses more interesting.

If you want to add something like that, you would really just need to make it up. Keep in mind that if you are just starting out with this, it might not sound right at first. Just keep trying until you sing something you like- OR you can sing what the original singer does, then change it a little to make it your own. That's a good way to start improvising until you are okay to make it all up on your own.

You can write it down in musical notation once you find something you like, especially if more than 1 person is going to sing it. Obviously that would need to be done by someone that knows music theory.
