In the movies i say early twenties as they both are still in school but able to live on their own. Also they might be younger in the comics because like stated they arent following it identicaly.

Dont forget that the movie is not following the comics closely but it is just based on them. Dont expect to see the same events that you see in the comics...

It depends, sometimes he is a college kid and sometimes he is working at the "Daily Bugle". It depends on the series.
