I would prefer to wash it in the washing machine

If it's blood use cold water, and hydrogen peroxide applied first will also help get blood out. If it's been there for more than say, 3 days, you may have to use straight bleach.

try awesome cleaner from the dollar store or if its food base try a peroxide dip and rinse it over and dip it again if its stubborn then bleach it and use tide as a presoak
