Hi ,
Those anwsers you saw above are very good solutions.
Here is another alternative to the solutions above : Check yr printer to see if this model has 2 printers ports . ( example :1 USB port plus1 parallel port , or 2 USB ports ) .
If it has 2 ports , you can hook 1 printer port to 1 of yr computer and you connect the other printer port to yr other
computer . Now, the printer is SHARED between 2 computers .
In this case , the PROS will be : there is no need to set up network or buy switches as such and you saved yr money .
The CONS will be : not many printer models come with 2 ports. Still ,there are some manufacturers that came out with 2 ports printers.
For example : check out epson C87 , it comes with 2 ports ( see link: http://www.epson.com.sg/products/printers/inkjet/EPSON_Stylus_C87.shtml )
Note : I am NOT a Epson promoter , I am just using this model as an example.

Assuming the two computers are networked together...
Set up the printer on the first printer and select "share the printer" when asked.
On the second PC,
Go into My Network Places and look for the first PC.
You should be able to see the printer on the First PC. Click on it.
It should install the printer and set up as a network printer.

flow into the "printer homes" (from the workstation that's at present linked to it), and then to "sharing". If it helps sharing, try to be able to share it on your community, and then deploy it on the workstation from the community. verify the printer guide as well to ascertain about printer sharing. you could also open up homestead windows help and help center and seek for for Printer Sharing.

If you don't want to be bothered with networking (which I suggest you do because there are a lot of benefits to creating a home network), then try using a printer autoswitch. Here's an example of one:
