NO, MISUNDERSTOOD THEY PROBABLY THINK THE SAME THINK ABOUT ANOTHER GROUP. THE REDNECKS THINK GOTHS ARE EVIL THE GOTHS THINK REDNECKS ARE EVIL SO ON. TRUST ME I HAVE BEEN OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL FOR ONLY FOUR YEARS AND NONE OF THAT MATTERS NOW.

sometimes i just sit down and think. why do there have to be preps, goths, populars, gangsters, and all these other 'cliques'? what's the point. we have names for a reason. we don't need another name to help identify ourselves. as for your question. no not everyone thinks preps are evil. it's the media that portrays them as such. and sadly, many people today believe a lot of the things that the media feeds them, not really thinking that it's FAKE and not the real thing. i remember when i was afraid to enter middle school because i thought that some "popular 8th grader" was going to make my middle school experience a living hell. and where did i get this idea from? tv shows. of course i didn't think that it could be that bad as it was in tv, but in my subconscious, i'm sure that i was a little worried. needless to say, i entered and left middle school without ever seeing too much nonsense. so yeah. to answer your question, it's because we don't think. that's it. we're too shallow and we're too reliant on media.

I was a social outcast in high school, ESPECIALLY by the preps, just because I dressed like a Goth. I am not gonna classify myself, I am me, I dress the way I want, I listen to and watch what I want...there is no reason to classify myself. But the preps at my high school were awful to me. They never had anything nice to me, they never took the time to get to know me (I'm really not a bad person, so long as someone takes the time to talk to me, not judge me), and all they knew how to do was to make fun of me, about anything and everything. And still to this day, any preppy type person I run into gives me this snooty, I am holier than thou look...and its kinda hard to not stereotype ppl when everyday you see examples of how their cliche are. I do, however apologize to those like your friend who actually do have hearts.

Don't worry, school will be over in a few years and once you are in college, so many of the cliques disappear! You will be so happy. It sounds like you have one great friend though, hold on to her!

Cause of the stereotypes used in movies so people automatically assume they are all the same.
