I wasn't asking what a baby book was, I was asking for help in answering the questions that were in it...

Just a few thoughts off the top of my head:
1. Can't help you with that - community events are happenings in your local area (any July 4th activities that you could note?)
2. Your mayor or town selectman
3. Gas prices, gay-marriage issue
4. George W. Bush, your rep and senator
5. Iraq war and tense relations with Korea
6. Tony Blair, Kim-Jong Il (Korea)
7. Check for these on Amazon.com
8. Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt
9. ? -not paying attention since I only listen to toddler music these days
10. Lost, CSI
11. Cars
12. FIFA World Cup Soccer is going on now so David Beckham is notable at the moment. You can also look to your hometown baseball team for star players.
Prices:
milk - hubby does the shopping so I don't even know
gas - $3/per gallon but it depends on where you are
diapers - I pay $30 at BJ's for a big box of them
movie ticket - never go, I wait for the DVD
car - I think the average is $25,000 but I'm not sure
loaf of bread - not sure

I would get some baby books like "The Lizard and Hog Billy" "Fishing with Nightcrawlers" Green Eggs and Bacon" "The Sewing Machine Disaster", "Frankenstein Meets Mommy and Daddy".Dracula Drinks Orange Juice, How to be a Millionaire"

Enough of the jokes...read the books to the child as much as you can stand. The more you read to that child the better he or she will be as they develope that brain. It is a proven fact!

I think we would need to know your baby's birthdate in order to help you. The price of gas is definitely different than it was in 2005.
