YES!!!!!!!!!! It is perfectly normal and they won't get out of that stage until they're about 18-20.

It is normal, because teenagers especially preteens are just beginning to find their own identity. And so parents will always have a hard time. Their beginning to become more independant and taking in more, on who they want to be as individuals, and who they don't want to be. And when an opinion from a parent conflicts with their plan, they teen begins to rebel, just hold out, its a phase and will pass. The important thing to know is that your not along in this situation everyone struggles. But remember just because something is normal does not make it appropriate or acceptable. If at all possible, try to change for your parents sake and for yours. Trust me I'm only 19 and I've learned this....

Absolutely. We become brain dead once our children hit age 10. We forget that we still have to drive them everywhere, pay the bills, take care of their health, groceries and home. Did you know that parents are unreasonable to expect that children pick up after themselves, do their homework and, (gasp) actually TELL them what to do at times. Please, rebelling is a perfectly normal thing. Help your parents through this difficult time. Remind them how much you love them no matter how difficult they are. They forget how fast you are growing and maturing into fine young women and men. Good Luck on raising your parents.

Yes. It's like puberty hits and they seem to be possessed by a demon. Then they come out of it somewhere in their 20's. Hang in there!
