what they are really asking is am I still desirable? Would you choose another woman over me? that's what the age old question here means. trust me.

The way around this is to answer JUST what was asked. She did not ask if she IS fat, she asked if she LOOKS FAT in THAT outfit. You should say something like, "Hmm, turn around. I have seen you a thousand times so I know you AREN'T fat, but that outfit does kind of look tight. It's probably labeled wrong"

I don't do this, but for women that do, they are just seeking compliments. They know that if you want to stay with them, you won't honestly say, "Yes, you look fat in that." Instead, you'll say something like, "No, honey, you're not fat. You're beautiful." This is the ego boost that the woman was looking for.

Who knows? I guess we just like to hear it. It sounds a little insecure & needy if you ask me. I mean what's the point? If you can't accept an honest answer. So I agree with you on that=)
Like there are some people who like their partners to say, "I love you" all the time, which of course loses its significance over time.

No women can be satisfied - by honest answers.
And most often, it is always a leading question - that they ask - and the answer will be very simple - and will satisfy them; make them feel happy.

Cause we always want to be the prettiest and constantly reassured that we are. We want to be desired like the other lady or man said, it feels good to be told we are beautiful. With so many beautiful people on tv, and around us we become insecure. Even though, you may love only that girl, we want to be reassured and be as gorgegous as the first day you saw her. (sorry, if spelling bad:)

I think they are fishing for a compliment rather than a simple "yes" or "no". Why don't men get that?

They want to see if you will actually tell them the truth if not they think your lying about everything else or you just don't pay attention or notice it.

Lol. Women love compliments, even if they're comforting white lies.
