Hmm... try explaining the situation to your husband, and say it in a concerned tone of voice. So he knows that you are not here to be rude, but concerned by her health. If that doesn't work, leave it alone. It is not your business anyways, and it's nice that you are caring for her. I'm sure someone else in the family will inform her, it's more polite of her mother or father says this statement. It might ruin your relationshsip, so stay out of it. You don't want them to get a bad impression about you. It's better safe than sorry in this situation!
Good luck and I hope my answer has solved your dilemma!

Tell her you have gained some weight and want to lose it before it becomes a problem. Ask if she has suggestions to help you.
This might make her start thinking about her weight. If not, drop it. It is not your business to be the weight police for others. Most people resent it when others interfere in this way and might increase their weight just to "show her".

You don't. It's not your business. I'm sure she's noticed and is aware of the problem. Nobody wants to gain weight. Having someone point it out to you does not help the situation!

Tell her: "Look it here fattie fattie 2 by 4. My brother is to good to be with a fattie. Whats wrong with you you tub of lard. Keep your face out the donut box and lose some weight before I tell my brother to leave your lard ***!"
That should suffice.

Chances are, she already knows it. Only try to help her if she asks you. If you volunteer this little bit of information without being asked, she'll never listen to you. You don't want her as an enemy because that would lead to another whole set of problems.

are you close enough to her to ask her personal questions about her and your brother? like "How are things with you and ___?" Maybe she's depressed. Maybe they are not communicating well with each other and she finds comfort in food? I don;t know, but if you are close to her, ask her questions about the marriage in general. Be careful about how you word the fact that you have noticed significant weight gain. good luck

You can't.
You can ask her to go for a walk with you because you need to talk, or join a gym with you because you need a partner.

Don't. Leave her alone and let her be herself. Mentioning it to her will make it worse. If SHE wants to lose weight, she'll come to you.
