Can anyone give opinions about acne/oily skin products that worked for them? My acne is more so blackheads, and since my skin is fair and sensitive, every pimple I get leaves a red mark behind. Also, to top it off, I've recently began getting a lot of small red pimple-like bumps on my forehead that I used to never ever get even though I've had acne. I can't figure out what could be causing this forehead thing, and my dermotologist only gave me another prescription for a cream to use at night. I'm almost 29 years old, and fed up. I have many small holes (scars) from popping blackheads when I was younger, but that is another issue. I'm just worried mainly about the forehead pimples that look gross!!! I am so oily on my face. (I've even did the Accutane thing, and of course, the wonderful, beautiful skin you get while on Accutane goes away once you get off of it..) Has anyone ever heard of b-5 in high quantities helping acne? thank you to anyone who can offer advice.

try proactive, give it a few weeks before you decide to give up. and follow the dermetologist's prescriptions everyday. make sure you do one thing at a time. otherwise, it will cause redness, peeling and burning

I have oily skin and my biggest problem is finding the best oil-free products. You don't want to use any cleansers or make-up that has oil in it because it's just going to make your skin worse. Make sure it says oil-free on the cover! If you're wearing make-up, besides using oil-free make-up, try using a loose powder under any oil-free liquids foundation and then top it off with another light dust of loose powder. Use a new, clean sponge every day that you apply your foundation and clean any brushes you use with shampoo every month. Make sure you wash your face twice a day and use a toner and oil-free moisturizer after washing. Use any prescriptions that the doctor has prescribed for you. For your blackheads, use those facial and nose strips that pull out black heads. This way you don't have to squeeze it out! Hope this helps!

What has worked for me is the Clear Skin Regimin at acne.org my sister uses pro active which seems to work for her too. There is a 2.5% Bp medication you can find at acne.org created by dan and doctors and something like that which seemed to work. It comes in a four oz bottle and is affordable much more so then other treatments. You can find that and the cleanser at clearskinregimen.com .Acne.org and also have people review products. It definatly helped me find the right products to use.So check out acne.org its really helpful and the regimen wich seems to work so Good Luck and i hope this helps.

Proactive is good, so is Mary Kay (expensive) and Avon, get in the habit of a good skin care regimen, morning and night. Also, if your hair is oily, it could be affecting the skin on your face, so pay attention to what you are using there too. Good luck.

Clean and Clear Maximum strength is the best non-proscribed product out there. it pretty much dries your skin up.

i'd suggest going back on accutane if your doctor lets you.

proActiv really works! It's expensive but it's worth it to me. now I can even go without makeup sometimes. But beware- if you stop using it, your situation will return.
