When I was in high school they would not let us read Harry Potter in class but they obsessively read Mac Beth to us. I find that wrong and weird. R they crazy for doing it or am I for disagreeing with it??

Macbeth is very different from Harry Potter. It's SHAKESPEARE, i think they HAVE to read it to you. i personally think that the fact that people find Harry Potter wrong to let kids read is just stupid, it promotes "black magic" or whatever, that totally sucks that they won't let you read it, but Macbeth is good too! i preformed it with my Drama class...

No. It's been deemed that you can learn from MacBeth, and while Harry Potter is well written, they haven't found much educational value in them yet. Maybe your kids will be forced to read them in school one day.

They make you read things like Macbeth because it challenges you, teaches you about the origins of our language, opens your mind to new ideas and makes you really think about what you are reading.

Harry Potter is entertainment, not education.
