How do you figure this out?

Volume= l(2')x W(1')xH(1')= 2 cubic feet
One cubic foot of water contains 7.48052 gallons x 2= 14.96104 gals.

2 ft X 1 ft X 1ft would be the outside dimensions right? If so the tank actually will hold less then 14.96 gallons, plus you will need to subtract the amount that the gravel, plants and the fish themself displace.

Roughly 15 gallons. You multiply length by width by height in inches, and divide by 231. Remeber that the actual capacity is always lower though
