If you really want to become punk, find someone on here who's willing to teach you, then knee them in the crotch. Real punk is born out of rebelling against authority (I'm assuming you're talking about 70's punk here, not pop-punk Green Day, Blink garbage). Punk can't be taught, it's an attitude.

Try dying your hair green with jello. Watch "Desperately Seeking Susan" and some old Sex Pistol's videos.
Then go down to your local club at night, and listen to the music.
But beware. No one is seriously doing this if they are really into the Club scene now. They are way beyond that in NYC.

I'm sorry if you have to be taught how to be punk then you are just going to be a poser. That isn't anything to be proud of. Hang out with them and work your way into it. Your not as likely to be well called a poser. have fun and just be who you are, not what others want you to be because then you lose yourself.
