yes you can build a rocket. you have to make a decision though..

first decision: will it be a liquid fueled or solid fueled rocket?

2nd decision: what goal does you rocket have to obtain? are you just looking to achieve earth orbit? or just watch it go about a thousand feet?

3rd decision: will the rocket have a payload?

4th decision: how much money am i willing to go on this?

the final decision: where am i going to launch this puppy?

you might have a few other questions to answer on this one.

A miniature rocket may be constructed of a paper match-head wrapped in aluminum foil. Use about one square inch of foil or less and leave a small aspect of the match-head exposed for applying ignition when device is lying on a non-combustible surface. Watch out! Occasionally these are rather zippy and unpredictable.

Hi. To make a REALLY small rocket take a paper match and cover the head with a small piece of aluminum foil twisted tight. Light another match and hold it under the foil. When the first match ignites it will shoot across the room. Harmless but fun!
