Was the original version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (with Gene Wilder) called "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" or "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory"?? I say its the first one and she says its the last one....which is it?

The original was called "Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory."
"Charlie And The Chocolate Factory" was the actual book title.

The original was "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" As it was mostly about Willy Wonka. The new one shows more of a story about Charlie and his background so has been named Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which is the name of the original book it was made after.

You lose - it's "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." But the book both movies are based on is called "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," if that helps.
