if you are running and I am running next to you and I bump into you hard will you fall or just continue to running? chances are you will fall that is why players fall due to their opponent dumping into them hard in order to get the ball

That's how it is in all of professional soccer, not just Italy...make no mistake. It's the most disgusting part of the game and the reason pro soccer will NEVER gain popularity in the US.
Most pro soccer players take up acting after their soccer careers are over.

because of the speed they're running at. And they're not "slight little touches" by the way, they're mostly way serious like tripping and holding etc. but if you're looking at someone like Gattuso it's probably b/c he's a drama king, not to accuse him of play acting but he can get a little carried away sometimes.

hahaha I know !! I remmember in one game that one of the players was in the floor "suffering" and then he saw that the ball was beside him suddenly he jumped and kept playing sooooo argentina the allways did that in the Argentina-Mexico game ... Italy is the new Argentina!!
