There is no question here. The world runs on Microsoft (and Linux). Macs never really made it into the computer world. For a long time they existed because of their video capabilities. This is no longer a strong point for Macs. Now they have made them Windows compatible to try to hang in there a little longer. If you want to move with the rest of the computer world, you wont be able to do it with a Mac. Microsoft is the king of the software world whether we like it or not.

Windows is a much easier system to navigate and use. It is fool proof! There are more games and programs available for Windows compatibility. Walk into your nearest franchise like "Target" or something and compare the number of games for Windows as there is for a Mac. In my opinion, i would never buy a Mac, i have had Windows all my life and its the best computer operating system one can come across.

I used to be a MAC lover being a graphic artist...but in the last several years not due to choice switched to PC Windows and have been impressed. Especially with the Dell Computer. Both computer are similar, but a PC has more programs available to it. Good Luck. My advice is to research what you're looking for online prior to buying it.

the new macs run the same os so technically they are both. i have an older imac and it is great for photo, video, etc. windows has better office software, but mac has their own versions of them (office for mac) and supposedly now you can run regular windows software on a mac.

Depends on what you want to do with it. Both OK I guess. Mac may be less prone to viruses, but, may not have the variety of programs available that Windows does.

I have had PC's since there have been PC's and I just bought my first Mac. I really like it and besides if I like I can run Windows on it now. They're just more expensive.

What are you goind to do with it? If you're going to be doing anything involving graphics (photoshopping, flash, movie editing) get a Mac. Otherwise, go Windows.
