Why do people put spoilers on front wheel drive imports? Any why oh why do they get the most retarted looking ones?!? Some look like an easter basket on wheels. It has absolutely no funtion. I just want to know why? I'd rather spend the money on suspension .

People who answered this question have no clue what they're talking about. Some spoilers, or most spoilers provide downforce, which helps handling or provides more speed, but some low cost ones, like most on the road, are just for looks.

They think they'll go fast enough to be effective and look cool. Muscle cars have spoilers because they really do go fast, they are functional, and that they were used in racing. If you had one,you just had a street version of the race car. The tuners are cheap so they have money to spend on crap to put on their Japanese rollerskates.

The common thought amongst the community of people who drive tuners, rice burners, and other cheap imports is that if it LOOKS fast, then it will go fast.
Some guys even think that if they put the "Type R" decal on the back of their 4-door civic that will make it go REALLY fast!

First, learn how to spell. 2nd, read up on Down Force and how it can be applied to any vehicle that goes down the road. 3rd, Some day you might realize there are Front Wheel Drive cars that can beat the sh!t out of Rear Wheel Drive cars!!!!!

people think they look "cool". but youre right they have no function unless you are going more than 100 mph. and on a road course. the craziest thing ive seen is a wing on top of a 93 ford aerostar van! now that made completely no sense
