Just to clarify things, I am not asking for myself. My best friend and her husband just decided to do this and I am trying to understand it.

I think people in the world have forgotten what marriage is all about. I think that if you want to have an open marriage, then you should not even be married at all! Get a divorse and go do what ever you need to do. Marraige is about commetment to eachother not eachother and everyone eles. Its when 2 people(not more then 2) fall in love with eachother and commit their hearts and soles together, and make a life together. I dont beleive in open marraige at all. People dont stop and think that marriage is soo much more then just a sighned peice of paper!

I think open marriages stink and you might as well not be married if you want a relationship like that. You are stating in a open marriage that you give your partner the right to f------k anyone else that they wish and you can do the same. Its sick and for all its worth you might as well not be married at all. Plus you have to watch out for diseases which you might get from sleeping with other people.

open marriage - so both of you can break marriage vows with the others permission. great. i don't get people at all. do you work in a traveling carnival by chance? (no offense to the traveling carnival people that know what marriage means).

I have no experience, but I don't understand why you would want to share your spouse with anyone. Why bother getting or staying married?

You should think about your vows and what they meant.Don't do something that you will re grate later.Besides what if you or your spouse fall for the other person its not Worthy it.trust

you have to have a very close relationship for this to work and rmember once you take that step you cant undo it.
Ps. you probably shouldn't try this if either one of you gets jealous easily

I personally do not agree with these lifestyle, but if you want you can do whatever you want, but remember what ever you do, you will need to deal with consequences.
